Movenerate
Every Move is Worship
Mission:
To influence the world in expressing their talents in the field of arts as a form of worship to our God.
Vision:
An excellent and anointed Arts Ministry actively involved in IMPACTING THE WORLD in expressing their act of worship to our God thru their artistic talents.
Objective:
Emphasize that DANCE is not just a form of art, but one of the highest forms of WORSHIP.
In June of 2003, The Music and Arts Ministry of the Jesus Is Lord Church – Main opened an audition for the dance ministry core group. Dancers from different JIL chapters even as far as from the provinces of Cavite, Batangas, and Bulacan responded and after a series of performance tests and panel interviews, 16 dancers passed the audition, thus the Interpretative Dance Ministry was established. After much prayers and careful deliberations, the name MOVENERATE was instituted as the Interpretative Dance Ministry of the JIL Church. It was coined from two different words; MOVE which means to change in position from one point to another and VENERATE which means to regard with respect, reverence, or heartfelt deference. Indeed, this ministry was born from the heart of God and from a desire to give the utmost worship that He truly deserves.
Movenerate’s first ever ministerial dance was at the Showers of Blessings Concert with Steve Kuban, La Mar Boschman and the Music and Arts Ministry. Their main performance at the said event was the interpretative contemporary dance rendition of “I Will Fight for You” by Steve Kuban. Other praise and worship songs were also performed together with the other dance core groups.
During the 23rd Anniversary of the Jesus Is Lord Church last October 2003, Movenerate was requested to do a repeat performance of the said ministerial dance. But due to time constraint and program adjustments, the dance number was cancelled. Although the news of the cancellation was somewhat saddening, it was realization for the dancers that what is more important is the longing of their hearts to revere God, no matter what the situation is, whether in or out of a performance.
2004 was highlighted with Movenerate’s interpretative renditions of Sa’yo, Tanging Ikaw and Nag-aalab from the album Harana sa Hari by Musikatha which was launched at the 3 main chapters of JIL namely Music Museum, PUP and Bocaue, Bulacan. By 2005, the group held trainings, seminars and workshops during the course of the Music and Arts Ministry’s Worship Symposium in different JIL chapters.
Presently, the Movenerate Network holds on to its mission to influence the world in expressing their talents in the field of arts as a form of worship to our God. Though it seems to be a huge task, they always believe that big things are always empowered thru small beginnings. Practices and meetings are being held weekly and one of the regular assignments of the group is their ministerial dance number every 1st Sunday of the month at JIL Music Museum Church.
Movenerate continues to proclaim that EVERY MOVE IS WORSHIP! |
