Triune

Mission:
To influence the world in expressing their talents in the field of arts as a form of worship to our God.
Vision:
An excellent and anointed Arts Ministry actively involved in IMPACTING THE WORLD in expressing their act of worship to our God thru their artistic talents.
Objective:
Emphasize that DANCE is not just a form of art, but one of the highest forms of WORSHIP.

This same declaration is what the street dance group, known as the TRIUNE MOVERS continues to proclaim as they groove and move their way to worship at the Master’s feet. The group came into existence through an open audition which were participated by less than a hundred dancers from different JIL chapters all over the country. From then on, selected dancers were oriented about their ministry functions, started their regular trainingsand were given the name TRIUNE.

The name “TRIUNE” was originally conceived by Sis. Maidz Pulido. It is also another term for “TRINITY”, or “TRI-UNITY. It pertains to the eternal GODHEAD. Then, adding the word “Movers” to make it sound more of a dance group. But as time passed they decided retain the word “Triune” as its official name.

The group was formally launched at Musikatha concert entitled “Showers of Blessings” in August 23, 2003. They performed the concert theme song “Showers of Blessings” and led the congregation in dancing to the beat of powerful praise songs. After that successful launching, they were also given the opportunity to be a part of other Musikatha concerts and projects. One of which was the launching of the album Harana sa Hari in JIL’s three main Sunday services: Music Museum at Greenhills San Juan, Polytechnic University of the Philippines at Manila and JIL Prayer Garden at Bulacan. This was followed by worship symposiums at different JIL provincial chapters like Cebu, Mindoro, Pampanga and Batangas. The group also conducted dance workshops at several JIL Manila chapters.

Every ministering opportunity given to the group is a significant one because they believe that God is moving in different ways. They believe that every experience is a step towards maturity and growth as a minister of the Lord and as a group. But one unforgettable event for them was their experience in the International Worship Institute Conference held at the Folk Arts Theater last September 2005. They were given the chance to interact with different Christian groups with the similar passion in dancing, both young and old. They led a dance workshop and were thrilled to realize that JIL as a church does not only excel in praise and worship songs but also in dance as well.

Through that experience they learned that JIL was not the only church who has been exploring the art of praise dancing and incorporating it in their Sunday worship services. The biggest hurdle that came to this ministry was the decreasing number of members. Many wanted to join but due to conflicting schedules and limited resources dancers could not afford to attend the trainings. But the Lord is really faithful and He never failed.

Through the group’s efforts and unrelenting prayer, God did send the right persons to be mightily used in this ministry. Auditions were again held and as of the moment, Triune is threading the way of victory. At present, the group is currently involved in ministering at JIL’s main services, leading people in congregational dancing as well as rendering special numbers every fourth Sunday of every month. They are currently working on expanding its horizons, continuously developing and harnessing their gifts, reaching JIL chapters in the Philippines to conduct workshops and assist in preparing for concerts and other productions. The group is also working on involving kids in congregationaldancing. They aim for TRIUNE KIDS to be established later this year.
